阿联酋:由于包装不合格,可口可乐、百事可乐产品一个月内下架.
阿联酋消费者保护协会就可口可乐及百事可乐的小包装不合格销售事件作出声明:2家公司在1个月内,将阿联酋范围内所有超市及大众零售网点的小包装可乐下架.

[size=1.3em]Dubai The consumer protection department at the Ministry of Economy has said removing cans of Coca-Cola and Pepsi from supermarket shelves across the UAE will take a month.

[size=1.3em]A statement from the consumer protection department, said both companies were selling their products without putting the price or the Arabic labelling of the ingredients on the products, in clear violation of Article (8) of the Consumer Protection Law.

Added 14:17 February 22, 2012There seems to be a fundamental error from part of PepsiCo & Coca Cola. Given the nature of the subject, its important for both companies as well as authorities from the DED to settle the subject off the shelves. Pepsi & Coca Cola can immediately change the price tag, even place a promo to liquidate the product. Removing the product from shelves, getting it back to factories and re-arranging such quantities of products already distributed... its more of a loss & waste of time for everyone involved. Pepsi & Coca Cola should reduce the price tag & clear the products from the shelves to consumers, as well as offset with a fine / payment to ministry.. Kisak, Dubai, United Arab Emirates

It is surprising that the 2-cola companies have not clarified in detail regarding the debacle relating to price and packaging. Based on my knowledge, the products that ended up on supermarket shelves are export-destined products that are smaller in size, do not carry the local price and the Arabic label.
